I think it is time for a little cheerleader action!  You can Do It!!!!!!!!!!!

Animated image of a cheerleading dancing
In class today we did a little measurement quiz - I hope that you take your results and use them to help you review measurment - Look back through previous posts to find the links  that you need to work on whatever skill(s) you found you need a little work on.  The little cheerleader is here to help remind you to keep going!!!!!  It can be easy to get discouraged by something like a quiz - that isn't the point - Now you now what what you have learned and what needs a little more effort - So put this into your head - G - O - come on - (insert your name here)- Lets Go!   Yep- it's been a long winter

The Measurment Finale

If you were not in class on Thursday - we did not go past page 6 in the green booklet - be sure to do that much when wer are back next week.  I want to give you some more practice on the conversions in both metric and standard

Happy Valentines Day - Happy Presidents Day - Happy Weekend!

A little more review for Area - Perimeter - Volume

I found a Jeapordy game, again, to help with going over these three topics
On this one you will have to write your answer down and then "check" it to see if you did it right.  You can also keep track of your score - don't worry about the download stuff just scroll down and click on your topic and value and it will pop up a questions

On to Volume!!!!!!

Perimeter measures the outside and Area measures the inside so Volume measures capacity - Another way to think about it is by dimensions - Perimeter is a one dimensional measurement (number of inches around a picture frame)  - Area is a two dimensional measurement (square feet of carpet for a room)  - Volume is a 3 dimensional measurement (cubic feet of water needed to fill a swimming pool)
